New Features in CONBOX v.8.0.0
- Create designs according to Caltrans Amendments v3.06.01, requirements unique to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) that include some of the AASHTO LRFD 2008 Interim and proposed 2009 Interim revisions.
- Major Caltrans amendments include:
- Special STRENGTH II Limit State related to P5-P15 trucks
- FATIGUE Limit State related to infinite fatigue life of concrete subjected to HL-93 fatigue truck
- Revised resistance factor for tension-controlled, cast-in-place, prestressed concrete sections subjected to flexure and axial load.
- Base the calculation of P-Jack on stress checks at the face of columns.
- Report on secondary moments due to prestressing.
- Perform analysis based on reduced effective moment of inertia for columns.
- Calculate non-iterative, closed-form equations for beta and theta with the Modified Compression Field Theory based shear design procedure as prescribed in the 2008 Interim revisions.
