Conversion, Revision and Restoration for Legacy Drawings and Records

Who Uses Bentley I/RAS B?
Anyone with existing paper maps or engineering records

All industries and disciplines have existing maps, drawings, engineering records, or other documents in paper form that contain mission critical information of some type. The age, quality, and condition of the information may vary, but the information it contains is necessary in some present or future situation, and you want to preserve it in digital form for safety, convenience, and easier distribution to others. I/RAS B is used to restore or convert rasterized documents in virtually all areas of government and business.

Anyone using paper in their work processes

Even in operations where master maps or records are completely digital, paper drawings are often used in field construction, operations or maintenance activities. New information received from contractors or recorded as-built information and other data collected in the field needs to be incorporated into the digital master. I/RAS B users routinely use it to quickly assimilate new information into their maps or records and distribute it throughout their work processes.

Anyone with scanned maps or engineering records

Users with existing scanned documents take advantage of I/RAS B to maintain them in raster of hybrid vector/raster form. Depending on the level of change and the use case, this approach can prove to be a cost effective alternative to full vectorization of their maps, drawings, or records.

I/RAS B, working hand-in-hand with MicroStation, is used in large and small operations worldwide to maintain records indefinitely or as conversion is performed incrementally over time.
