Around the world, Bentley colleagues are drawn together by a mutual interest in the softer side of “public works”—the civic and community causes they support together. As a company, Bentley sets as priorities the philanthropic causes advanced by colleagues through their own funds and personal time, an entrepreneurial incentive consistent with the company’s core values.
Initiatives include:
- Reducing Bentley's carbon footprint 15 percent per colleague by the end of 2009;
- Colleague-supported projects such as Red Cross blood drives, Habitat for Humanity housing programs, and humanitarian assistance in Africa, Costa Rica, Haiti, India, and other regions;
- Delivering basic infrastructure to those with extreme needs, particularly in the developing world;
- Providing software and learning without cost through our From the Ground Up program to the volunteers engaged in development projects conducted by not-for-profit organizations such as Engineers Without Borders.
