Since 2004, the Be Inspired Awards competition has showcased excellence and innovation in the design, construction, and operations of architecture and engineering infrastructure projects around the world. The Be Inspired Awards is unique – the only competition of its kind that is global in scope and comprehensive in categories covered, encompassing all types of infrastructure projects. In the awards program, which is open to all users of Bentley software, an independent jury of industry experts selects finalists for each category.
- All finalists receive an expense-paid (travel and hotel) trip to the Be Inspired: Innovations in Infrastructure conference in Amsterdam for a final round of presentations to the jurors and attending media.
- Based on the finalists’ presentations, Be Inspired winners are chosen for each category.

At the Be Inspired: Innovations in Infrastructure conference, representatives of the year’s top infrastructure projects present their projects and discuss the best practices and innovations that made these projects possible.
Be Inspired Awards submissions that have the honor of becoming a nominee will be published in The Year in Infrastructure, the premier annual showcase of infrastructure achievement. The print version of this publication is distributed globally to over 150,000 professionals interested in the state of the art in our built environment, and a digital version appears on Bentley’s website. Finalists and winners are also featured in the Be Inspired Project Portfolios.
