The goal of this project was to prepare a feasibility study, building and final design of one of the most important roads into the suburbs of Warsaw. The road will ensure connections to the south districts of Warsaw, the Okecie International Airport, and the system of national and provincial roads. The bypass will eliminate heavy vehicles from the city center and improve traffic conditions on surrounding streets.

Using MicroStation’s 3D modeling and visualization capabilities, DHV Polska designed 56 new overbridges over existing streets, railroads and rivers; underground tunnels for pedestrian traffic; traffic safety devices; ecological protection; new and reconstructed underground and overground infrastructures; a footbridge in the area of the Warszawa Okecie railway station, and miscellaneous road culverts. The software enabled the multidisciplinary team to easily collaborate using a single model.
