Filipiak is a civil applications engineer who has worked at Bentley since 1997. His responsibilities include consulting and developing datasets, training materials, GEOPAK presentations for Bentley Institute lectures, and civil product presentations.
Prior to Bentley, Filipiak worked in the sales department at C&G Software. He conducted training courses for clients and sold survey software. Filipiak previously spent 25 years working for the Illinois Department of Transportation, where he was a construction technician, surveyor, and roadway designer. He worked on major re-alignments and corridor studies as well as ensured roadways were built to specifications.
Filipiak served four years in the United States Navy as operation specialist. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in administration in management.
