RAM Structural System: True interoperability with the Revit Structure Link - new enhanced version

Bi-directional integration between the RAM Structural System (RSS) and Revit Structure enables you to analyze and design buildings within the RSS environment and subsequently use Revit Structure for multi-discipline collaboration as well as documentation!

If you feel that:

  • In the creation of construction documents, the redline and review process is time consuming and eats into your profits
  • By not using a BIM solution that provides integration with your design and documentation, errors are more prone to occur
  • Not having a collaborated design team decreases quality and productivity with the project

The integrated environment will:

  • Improve internal processes by linking engineering and CAD departments to eliminate tedious and costly redlining and review processes
  • Enable effective communication with the rest of the design team - COLLABORATION
  • Streamline processes - higher profit margins and less chance of errors

Benefits for Structural Engineers:

  • Start in RAM Structural System or Revit Structure
  • Import or Export from Revit Structure
  •  Make changes in either application
  •  Update and synchronize models

The RSS / Revit link Version 2.4.2 includes many new enhancements (including the correction of the bug in the RAM Structural System that caused the Revit link not to launch RAM at the end of the export process).

RAM Structural System is Bentley’s modeling, analysis, and design software for structural engineers involved in the design of building structures with various materials and design codes. The software provides powerful automated and integrated tools that increase structural engineers’ productivity, allowing them to be more profitable and to more quickly produce economical designs.

Revit is Autodesk’s platform for building information modeling.  Revit Structure (built on the Revit platform) is a complete, discipline-specific structural engineering, design and documentation systems supporting all phases of structural modeling, analysis (with third-party software), and construction documentation.
