“I’m Encouraged by the Growing Recognition That Long-Term Investment in Infrastructure Is Crucial to Drive and Sustain Economic Prosperity,” said CEO of Global Leader in Software for Infrastructure

HARRISBURG, PA – Kelly Lewis, CEO, TechQuest PA, today announced that Greg Bentley, CEO of Bentley Systems, the leading company dedicated to providing comprehensive software solutions for sustaining infrastructure, will be the welcoming speaker at the Third Annual Pennsylvania Infrastructure Summit, being held May 20, 2010, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The theme of this year’s summit is “Driving Economic Prosperity Through Investment in Infrastructure.”

Commenting on the upcoming summit, Greg Bentley said, “Public and private infrastructure providers across Pennsylvania continue to face financial challenges. However, I’m encouraged by the growing recognition that long-term investment in infrastructure is crucial to drive and sustain economic prosperity, including for generations to come. Better yet, these investment returns can now be leveraged further through intelligent infrastructure projects that deliver both environmental resiliency and higher performance with respect to energy, safety, costs, and operational efficiency.”

Mr. Bentley continued, “I look forward to the discussions about these and other issues and opportunities critical to sustaining infrastructure among the hundreds of leaders who will gather at this year’s Pennsylvania Infrastructure Summit.”

The Third Annual Pennsylvania Infrastructure Summit, organized by TechQuest PA and keystone sponsor Bentley Systems, will bring together Pennsylvania’s most innovative industry, government, and association leadership involved in the advancement of the state’s transportation, water and wastewater, energy, and communications infrastructure development.

“We’re looking forward to a robust discussion of critical infrastructure issues,” Lewis said. “And our impressive lineup of expert speakers, which kicks off with insightful comments from software industry leader Greg Bentley, will focus on the sustainable return that investment in infrastructure development brings to every community in Pennsylvania.”

Lewis pointed to the recent court decision reversing the Interstate 80 toll plan, which will create a transportation budget shortfall of more than $400 million this year, as one of several pressing issues challenging Pennsylvania’s transportation infrastructure. “The 2010 Pennsylvania Infrastructure Summit is the only statewide forum available to address these issues across the public and private sectors,” Lewis added. “These leaders are dedicated to turning infrastructure challenges into strategies for driving improvements in quality of life and economic growth throughout Pennsylvania.”
