Daylight Saving Time Notice

Corporate

The United States and parts of Canada are extending the period of Daylight Saving Time (DST) beginning in 2007. From 2007 onward, DST will commence on the second Sunday in March (three weeks earlier than previously) and end on the first Sunday in November (a one week extension). In 2007, clocks will move forward one hour from 01:59 a.m. to 03:00 a.m on March 11, 2007, and on November 4, 2007 clocks will move back one hour from 01:59 a.m. to 01:00 a.m.

Will the 2007 DST period change affect Bentley software products?

Bentley does not anticipate errors or interruptions in the operation of Bentley software products resulting from the 2007 DST period change. In all cases, the logging, journaling, and restart operations of Bentley software products are based upon either Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or the host operating system’s time keeping functionality. GMT is not affected by DST, but to ensure that your Bentley software products will work as expected in 2007, it is recommended that the host operating system be updated per the manufacturer's instructions to address the 2007 DST period change.
