Presented by:  Hans Gaal, VolkerWessels Telecom
Summary:

VolkerWessels Telecom is a complete supplier of telecom technology. They design, build, construct and maintain fixed, mobile and wireless telecommunications networks.

As a result of a recent order provided by “de Nuenense Coöperatieve Telecomvereniging Ons Net,” VolkerWessels has provided 7,500 inhabitants with a Fiber to the Home (FttH) connection. As some of the first in Holland, these homes now have a state-of-the art broadband connection with Triple Play services.

VolkerWessels Network Operations Centre services the network 24/7. Bentley Fiber is used for the management of the network infrastructure. Recently, Geo Web Publisher for Communications has been added and it allows field operations technicians to have all the relevant network information on-site.

The next step is to apply Bentley Fiber in the design and construction phase. Detailed network information will become available earlier in the supply chain and prevent timely and costly data migration to the maintenance and service departments.
