As the national mapping agency for Great Britain, Ordnance Survey has a responsibility not only to provide a topographic referencing framework but also to grow the use of geographic information (GI) within the country. Ordnance Survey’s information is generalist in nature, representing topographic features that are understandable to the general public.

This presentation describes the difficulty of integrating geographic information with other information sources and embedding it into business processes.
