| Summary:
In this session, D. Vasudevan, Additional Director, ICT, India talks about some of the many challenges encountered on a section of the NH-1A from Banihal to Srinagar. The project includes four bridges and one flyover and passes through some of the most mountainous terrain in the country. This critical link runs through the towns of Banihal, Qazigund, Khanabal, Bijbehara, Awantipur, and Pampore and is the only direct route linking Jammu and Kashmir to the rest of country. |
