This presentation adds to Ward's earlier presentation at a STAAD conference. It covers the finite element analysis of the dome to cylinder. Ward shows how OpenSTAAD is being incorporated to this analysis so that such analysis can be embedded in the present overall tank design program developed by the Crom Corporation. You will see how the mesh for the finite element analysis is developed for this axisymmetric structure. He will also provide a comparison to classical analysis. |
