Bentley PlantFLOW

Pipe Network Flow Analysis Using Real-world 3D Geometry

Feature: Flexible 2D or 3D Drawing Modes

PlantFLOW gives you the flexibility to create your model using a detailed 3D model mode, or a simplified user loss element. Advantages of the 3D model include:

  • Visually check elevation changes
  • Model interaction effects between closely spaced elbows and tees (which affect pressure loss)
  • Control the sequence in which loss elements are placed
  • Share (import/export) 3D geometry with CAD and Pipe Stress systems

If users prefer, models can be generated using PlantFLOW's user loss element. The user loss element lets the user input a K-factor, fixed loss, or loss versus flow rate, as an alternative to inputting each elbow, valve or other components using actual 3D geometry.

Additional Features:

  1. Thermodynamics Integrated with Flow Equations
  2. Built-in Libraries
  3. Flexible 2D or 3D Drawing Modes
  4. Graphical Review of Analysis Results
  5. Creation and Modification of Piping Flow Model
  6. Interfaces with CAD and Piping Stress
