The BeCareers Network is proud to partner with the following organizations:

ACE Mentor Program of America

The ACE Mentor Program introduces high school students throughout America to careers in architecture, construction, and engineering. Professionals from leading design and construction firms volunteer as mentors and introduce students to the various design professions and the role that each performs in the planning, design, and construction of a project. This hands-on engagement in real-world projects challenges students to solve problems while they explore careers in architecture, construction, and engineering.  For more information, please visit ACE Mentor Program.

E-Learning and CAD/GEOMETRY (ELCAD)

ELCAD is an innovative, computer-aided design/geometry teaching methodology that provides students the possibility to improve their skills at an accelerated rate.  For more information, see the ELCAD overview.

EAST Initiative

The EAST Initiative is a project-based learning environment that provides students with the opportunity to tackle sophisticated service-oriented projects. Recognized nationally as an innovative and successful approach to education, the program teaches students to become creative, intuitive, and adaptable learners who can solve unpredictable, real-world problems.

Working in teams, the students routinely use current technology for animation, computer-aided design, engineering design, visualization, database design, webpage design, programming, office automation, digital film making, virtual reality, global positioning systems, and geographic information systems. This multi-faceted program delivers relevant and life-changing experiences for students that benefits schools, communities, and the workforce. For more information, please visit EAST Initiative.

Transportation and Civil Engineering (TRAC) Program

TRAC (Transportation and Civil Engineering) is a hands-on educational outreach program designed for use in science, math, technology, and social science classes. By engaging students in solving real-world problems, sending volunteer mentors into the classroom, and supplying teachers with the needed materials, TRAC connects K–12 students to the world of transportation professionals and civil engineers, inspiring them to consider a career in these fields. For more information, please visit TRAC.

University of Maine CAD Camp

Each year, this camp lets students learn about computer-aided design (CAD) at their own pace by designing something unique. CAD Camp lets students mix their interest in design and computers with the fun of making new friends, all while enjoying the beauty of the Maine outdoors. Read more about CAD Camp, including comments from attendees. For more information, please visit University of Maine.
