Lee is a professional services consultant at Bentley. A MicroStation user since 1986, Lee past professional work includes substation engineering, commercial and residential construction.
Prior to Bentley, he was a senior engineering technical support specialist for Progress Energy. Lee was the primary CAD support contact for applications in transmission engineering department and produced automated substation design programs. As an engineering technician, Lee prepared complete substation project designs, organized construction drawing, created a bill of materials and applied approved substation standards in addition to special designs on new construction projects. He worked construction as a superintendent for E. D. Parker Corporation and held the posts of field engineer, brick mason and superintendent for Davidson and Jones.
A Vietnam War veteran, Lee spent three years in the United States Army as a helicopter crew chief and mechanic. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Lee graduated from the Wake Technical Institute in Raleigh, where he studied civil engineering technologies. He enjoys fishing, flying airplanes, sailing and beekeeping.
