Meet the Instructors

Training
Alan Mather 

Mather joined Bentley in 2005 as a trainer and consulting engineer and is a specialist in highway design, reinforced concrete detailing, site supervision and MX design. He is responsible for training users, preparing course material, and assisting users.

Mather came to Bentley from Infrasoft, where he was a trainer and consultancy engineer for five years. He previously worked as a highway design engineer for Parkman and was contracted to the Blackpool Borough responsible for the planning and contract documentation of an infrastructure design of an extension to Blackpool Business Park. Mather’s professional experience includes work on several motorway junctions, creating designs for a number of road and roundabouts throughout England and Ireland, and engineering various corporate park developments. He also designed a city development in Malaysia and housing developments in Abu Dhabi. Mather is a certified technical engineer in addition to being a fellow of the institute of Highway Incorporated Engineers.
