Enhanced interoperability with the new version 3.0 link
Bi-directional integration between the RAM Structural System (RSS) and Revit Structure enables you to analyze and design buildings within the RSS environment and subsequently use Revit Structure for multi-discipline collaboration as well as documentation!

If you feel that:
-
In the creation of construction documents, the redline and review process is time consuming and eats into your profits
-
By not using a BIM solution that provides integration with your design and documentation, errors are more prone to occur
-
Not having a collaborated design team decreases quality and productivity with the project
The integrated environment will:
-
Improve internal processes by linking engineering and CAD departments to eliminate tedious and costly redlining and review processes
-
Enable effective communication with the rest of the design team - COLLABORATION
-
Streamline processes - higher profit margins and less chance of errors
Benefits for Structural Engineers:
-
Start in RAM Structural System or Revit Structure
-
Import or Export from Revit Structure
-
Make changes in either application
-
Update and synchronize models
The RAM Structural System / Revit link version 3.0 features many new enhancements, including:
-
Import/export of slab edge and deck properties
-
Import/export wall openings
-
New import/export interface
-
Selectively update class of elements for both import or export
-
A new mapping file format allows the creation of per project or per office standard mapping files. Separate mapping files for imperial and metric projects
-
Multiple Revit families can now be mapped to RAM elements
-
Improved cantilever import/export
-
Castellated and cellular beams import and export
-
Updating of level name and elevation changes

RAM Structural System is Bentley’s modeling, analysis, and design software for structural engineers involved in the design of building structures with various materials and design codes. The software provides powerful automated and integrated tools that increase structural engineers’ productivity, allowing them to be more profitable and to more quickly produce economical designs.
Revit is Autodesk’s platform for building information modeling. Revit Structure (built on the Revit platform) is a complete, discipline-specific structural engineering, design and documentation systems supporting all phases of structural modeling, analysis (with third-party software), and construction documentation.
