Configuration
- SELECT Server XM Gateway Service provides support for pre-XM applications.
- Product activation no longer requires the use of license (.lic) files for each application.
- XM applications can run for a limited period of time, up to 30 days in most cases, without access to a license.
- Microsoft Active Directory group policies can be used to deploy SELECT Server name and activation key information to a group, allowing for automatic activation.
Usage Reports
- Summary Report accounts for peak utilization of pooled applications, including the number of machines and the date the peak occurred.
- Daily Peak Usage counts application utilization each day, including specific versions used.
- Application Usage report details what applications ran on which machines.
- Last application Usage report identifies the last time each application reported usage.
- Machine Usage report confirms which machines used a particular application.
- Daily Client Usage report summarizes daily named user license usage.
- Monthly Client Usage report compiles client usage by month.
- Server Usage report summarizes server right-to-run usage.
- Enterprise License Subscribers (ELS) can incorporate multiple, site-based usage logs into a single, enterprise-wide usage report.
- ProjectWise Named User License (PWNUL) Usage by month report displays PWNUL peak usage per month.
- ProjectWise Named User License (PWNUL) Site Usage by month report displays PWNUL peak usage per month broken out by site.
Report Options
- Report period can be defined at intervals between 30 to 365 days.
- An explicit date range can also be used to define the reporting period.
- Filter reports by Site, Application, and Records per Page.
- Reports can be exported to Adobe PDF (.pdf) format.
- Reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel (.xls) format.
- Reports can be sorted in ascending or descending order for each column heading.

License Administration
- Administrator can view license files for each Site managed by SELECT Server
- Administrator can Enable or Disable Check-out Licenses
- Administrator-defined maximum check-out interval. Check-out interval can be define from one day to a term equal to the renewal of an account’s SELECT Agreement.
- Applications can be checked out using the License Management Tool from inside an application session.
- Checked-out licenses can be generated by a system administrator and emailed to a remote user for local deployment.
- SELECT Server can be configured to only allow checked out licenses for designated applications and quantities of those applications.
- Configuration is done on a per site basis.
