Summary:

PlantFLOW is a special purpose program developed to simplify the process of piping network flow analysis. PlantFLOW calculates pressure drops and flow velocities in both open and closed networks to assist engineers in pipe sizing, meter station design, and compressor, pump, and heat exchanger pressure loss evaluations for steady state single phase flow involving liquids, liquid mixtures, Ideal and real gases, gas mixtures. PlantFLOW offers an easy to learn mouse driven graphical user interface which displays the piping system in 3D and enables the engineer to review analysis results graphically or through reports. The piping systems modeled in leading 3-D piping modelers can be imported to PlantFLOW and PlantFLOW has two-way interoperability with AutoPIPE,the pipe stress analysis solution offered by Bentley Systems.

WinNozl calculates and evaluates shell stresses due to local loading at the static equipment nozzles in accordance with the design codes like WRC 107-Div I and II, WRC 297 Div I and II, PD 5500 annex-G, API 650 and finds out the pressure scf according to WRC 368 and ASME Section VIII. The anchor reactions obtained from AutoPIPE can be automatically brought over by invoking WinNozl from within AutoPIPE.

What you can learn:
  • Steady-state flow analysis of 3D piping system conveying liquid or gas
  • Calculation of shell stress due to local loading
  • Interoperability of PlantFLOW and WinNozl with the pipe stress solution AutoPIPE
